Swiss traditions in Bulgaria

I was talking to Tim yesterday. Besides exchanging thoughts on life in Bulgaria and Argentina, we mentioned "the good days" as flatmates.
So, we had the tradition of cooking from time to time together.

My specialty: salads & invented meals
Tim´s specialty: Wurstsalat and barbeque stuff
Our specialty: cheese fondue or spaghetti with cheese sauce and broccoli.
So, as having some nostalgy, I decided to cook for my family some spaghetti with cheese sauce. As broccoli wouldn´t fit to their taste, I took some ham.

Bulgarized ("побългарени") traditions

So, disappointments:

1. In the shop - the only spaghetti I got were thiner than No 5
2. Cooking - Bulgarian spaghetti have to be cooked less than 5 min.
3. Preparing - according to my dad, spaghetti should be washed with water after you cook them in order no to agglutinate ("слепвам"). Yes, you can imagine my face by hearing this... Now imagine how I looked like when I got it at the end that he was right...
4. Spaghetti itself - hmm, the total disappointment ever... and I was at least happy that I put some ham instead of broccoli - otherwise noone would even try them...

Well, at least I have this picture to think how I wanted them to look like...

Bon appetit from one unlucky cooker.
